Boats from across the UK in Bristol this weekend to watch middle-aged men drink warm cans of Thatchers

All manner of boats from far and wide have come to Bristol this weekend to witness hundreds, if not thousands of overweight middle-aged men wearing cargo shorts drinking warm cans of Thatchers.

To mark what has become an annual pilgrimage for the boats, festivities around the harbour have been put on to showcase the many different kinds of overweight middle-aged men wearing cargo shorts drinking warm cans of Thatchers that can be seen in Bristol over this special and exciting weekend.

Highlights of the weekend include:

In front of the bandstand between 12pm and 6pm where the men will be found hugging their Thatchers, closing their eyes, swaying and tapping their toes out of time to jazz classics.

At the Lloyds Amphitheatre, trendy middle-aged men will be wearing pork-pie hats and bragging about having met Roni Size before he got big, back in their clubbing days.

This evening in Queen Square the middle-aged men will lay on the grass, majestically glistening in the sun, trying in vain to sleep off a day filled with warm Thatchers, while their children poke them with sticks.
